The National Park Service officially recognizes 31 different national memorials in the USA.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was established on November 13, 1982 in the District of Columbia. Every year, over 5 million people visit the memorial to pay their respects to the 58,320 people whose names are etched on its wall.
